Happy 70th Birthday, Dad!
I did this piece for my Dad's 70th Birthday present. I'm posting the picture that I used to make it from beneath it. The Picture is of my Dad and Mom as teen sweethearts ... sometime in the late 1950's this photograph was taken. I hope my art does the justice of the picture and helps bring back memories for my Father and Mother. My dad was an original Rockabilly greaser in those days ... They are way too cute in the picture!

A poem by Kathryn Jane Forest ... no. 1
The fire burning hot and bright
Thick smoke slinking through chilled night
Hands rubbed raw and jaw clenched tight
He barely put up any fight

Chamber ... done for Jon ...
This is a picture I did for my good friend, Jon Gordon. He is a fellow Lansing, MI based artist. He's far better than me and you can view his work at ART OF JON dot COM. I had a lot of fun with this piece. I didn't even know who the character "Chamber" was until last night. But I like his look and the concept. I am happy with how the piece turned out and I hope Jon is too.
