Tribute to Johnny Cash ...

Hunter Brand asked me to draw him something for his wall as a commission. He said he wanted me to have full artistic freedom to draw anything ... ANYTHING at all in the "MUSIC" theme. I chose the ICONIC Johnny Cash. This was pretty nerve racking for me ... I love him so much, but I also know how much he means to teaming millions of others. I didn't want to let anyone down. I believe I did a good job with the piece.

My Turned Down LDV logo.

So, I entered the Lansing Derby Vixens logo design contest. I knew what was going to win ... that same old boring and lame "Derby" logo stereotype with the flaming wheel and the legs of a woman (that was my honest guess) ... But I was hoping that my interest in something unique and updated would be shared by more people. However, I was wrong. Below is the Image I submitted. If you want to see the logo they chose ... google for it. You'll see that it is exactly what I guessed would win. Boring! Oh, well.
